On May 28, Allied Community Enterprises, Inc. (ACE) will convene policymakers, developers, and other stakeholders in an afternoon's symposium on creating and preserving affordable housing for older adults in Northern Westchester. This symposium will be an opportunity to delve into the housing needs of our aging population and to explore innovative policies and
projects that can work in our County.
Affordable housing feasibility in Westchester means & fitting in. Fitting In: affordable senior housing that comfortably fits into local neighborhoods and communities without large monetary, environmental, or social costs.
Therefore, at this symposium, ACE will issue a challenge to attendees and the community at large to devise a senior housing project that is innovative, replicable, and feasible for Northern Westchester. ACE will review proposals, and award the most competitive entry team or town with the HV Kensing Community Builder Award in December 2020.
Westchester County must evolve to meet the housing needs of its seniors.
